Whipple   Creek  Guitars

This page is in progress and pricing will reflect availability and pricing of materials.

The Basics    Because there is so much to choose from in your custom build, a total list is just not possible nor practical, but we can start with a baseline and go from there. Even with the basic model you will suffer nothing in terms of playablity or sound. Just call me and we can change anything to suit you and some things on the fly as we go. And to be honest I have never made a "basic" guitar. They are always upgraded.

All  guitars come with wood bindings on the body, forward x sitka spruce bracing, maple bridgeplate, tortoise celluloid pickguard, and EM Tech 6000 clear finish. Hide glue on all bracing, the dovetail neck joint and bridge. Fingerboard MOP dot fret markers on the 3,5,7,9,12,15 frets. Bone saddle and nut, wooden bridge and endpins, mahogany one piece dovetail neck with a Martin adjustable truss rod, D'Addario phosphor bronze strings, Grover open back tuners and a HSC.

No charge  on choices for nut width and bridgepin spacing, body styles, through saddle or drop in on the bridge, neck profiles, 12 or 14 fret to the body in 24.75"- 24.9"- 25.34" scale length, wood fiber rosettes in 1,2, or 3 ring and herringbone.

Pretty much anything, right?

Other B/S tonewoods, way too much to list

German spruce $100 and up

sunburst top $350

Laminated top bracing $100 ( adds sustain and projection but can make some woods sound a bit harsh)

As I said, pretty much anything. Just call me and we can talk all you want.

A third of the total price is required to start with another third due along the way and final third when finished. I take credit and debit cards over the phone with Square. I also accept cash and  am open to bartering.

Occasionally  I will have a guitar that is a little shop worn or was loaned out to musicians at a reduced price. If I have anything it will be on the Available page.
